Casas Valleparaizo have been in the family for many years. We were the first on Madeira Island to start with this type of rural tourism, and we are unique because being a very extensive property we offer privacy first place, then comfort, contact with nature and animals. It is as if each client is unique in their own home and garden!
At the beginning of the last century, my grandfather Rui da Câmara, then owner, increased the area of his property and reached 200 hectares, making Vale Paraíso the largest continuous private property, then existing, in Madeira. As of 1954, the land was divided by four of his six children, with Casas Valleparaízo now inserted in one of the plots with a total dimension of 50 hectares. Each of the eleven Country Houses has its own private garden, set in an idyllic setting. The current management of the houses is done by me and one of my brothers. We count on family management, which makes customers feel part of our family. I really like my houses and what I do, the contact with all the clients, other cultures, and many of them, repeated clients have already become great friends.
The village of Camacha is very well located, as it is very close to Funchal and the mountains. We have a levada that passes on our property, so the customer can leave the car at home and leave on foot. It is very easy to get to know the whole island from our location.
