Cerca do Sul sits between the countryside and the sea, within the Parque Natural do Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina. Those who arrive find a house with history, a property with a life of its own, and a team that knows every corner of the place. Our expectation is simple: that those who stay here treat the house as their own.

Neighborhood info

The Alentejo coast is one of the most unspoilt in Europe. Since 1995, the Parque Natural do Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina has protected this stretch of coastline, which explains why the beaches here are still much as they were fifty years ago: spacious, unhurried, with no construction on the sand. Cerca do Sul sits within that area. A few minutes away: cliffs with white storks nesting in the rock, villages where the rhythm is still set by the tide, and a coastal food culture worth paying attention to. Barnacles, clams, seafood açorda, freshly caught sole, and the wines of Alentejo, are some of what you will find on the table here. Countryside and seaside less than ten minutes apart.
