We bought our house Docevida with the main objective of sharing our spaces in guest rooms. A guest room is a homestay, and not a hotel. We have taken special care to keep an "eye" of "visitors (customers)" when making our choice. We did not hesitate to choose a slightly "isolated" location to guarantee the tranquility of our visitors, with sea view gardens and several relaxation areas, all without any overlooked or immediate neighborhood. Surrounded by laurel forests and vineyards. We have completely refurbished our two bedrooms to meet current requirements, new quality bedding, television, fiber optic wifi and acoustic insulation of the connecting walls of the 2 bedrooms. Our rooms are 12m2 in addition to the bathroom (shower and toilet). We only rent 2 rooms. Also shared spaces, including a fully equipped barbecue which also serves as an open kitchen, where all our breakfasts are taken. The space is ideally located to spend moments of calm and tranquility and is perfectly suited to teleworking. The two bedrooms have a private and independent entrance on the ground floor. Our animals (2 small dogs, a cat) live freely on the property, but they are strictly prohibited in rooms. The drought in 2023 has caused a very strong invasion of ants throughout the island, to avoid their visits to the rooms, we strongly advise against any insertion of food or food waste or empty cans in the rooms, a small dining area is installed in front each room for your small snacks, and several other spaces still in the property. We are both former independents in a service company, we are committed to sharing our spaces but also our experiences and knowledge of the island, even if we still have a lot to discover and learn about it! Our space is a true homestay, which ensures you a regular presence of your guests in discretion. We take real pleasure in guiding our visitors with practical advice on the uses and customs of the inhabitants of the island and we gladly advise for the organisation of your days. Bread is never delivered to your home before 8 a.m., if you plan a night departure for sunrise, please notify us 24 hours in advance so that we can organise ourselves to prepare your takeaway breakfast. The service is free of charge offered to you once per stay, please inquire about the cost of renewing the service with us. The expression of your notes and comments make sure to specify the improvements you expect for your notes below 10, in the absence of details, your notes will have the only effect of penalising us without giving it a constructive, relevant effect also desired by booking, and not followed by effects, that is, without great productive interests.

The property is located in the Madeira laurisilva forest protected by UNESCO. A fairly busy promenade in summer is just behind at the bottom of the garden. Access to the sea can be done on foot or by car, in 25 minutes on foot, pebble beach only. Several nearby restaurants, one of which can be reached within a 20-minute walk. The others are between 18 and 15 minutes from the property by car. The small village of Boaventura opposite the valley offers a restaurant service, a laundromat, a pharmacy, a new grocery store and several bars. Car rental is highly recommended or ask for our private car service. Most of the walks are located in our region, including the lava caves that have just reopened.
