Welcome to our enchanting mountain retreat, where the magical beauty instantly whisks away your work tension. This is a modern house with sunny terrace and garden, located in the mountain village of Merujal, in the middle of the Serra da Freita. This famous UNESCO Geopark is a magical mountain area offering exceptional opportunities for hikes along an extensive network of marked trails, trail running, mountain climbing, canyoning, cycling. Enjoy the quiet mountain atmosphere right in your own garden. Visit the world famous birthing stones nearby. Distances: Porto (57 km), Arouca (15 km), Paiva Walkways (27 km).

Neighborhood info

The house is located in the middle of the mountain region of Serra da Freita at 879 meters altitude, in the village of Merujal. Hiking tracks for the mountains start just outside the house. Right next to the house is a small cafe which also sells groceries. Every day at around 10 in the morning a local bakery with a truck full of fresh bread passes in front of the house. Buy some bread and say hello to the neighbors.
