Small country cottage house with extensive green area around as part of the property. The cottage is located around 300m from edge of the Obidos Lagoon. The property includes an Oak (cork) tree forest and extensive green area, perfect to enjoy nature , walk dogs or just enjoy the countryside / lagoon-side outdoors. The house comprises a bedroom with a double bed - bunk bed. An open plan kitchen; lounge and a toilet. A separate large toilet plus a barbecue and dining area are included in a separate annex. A newly built timber house may be used as bedroom / lounge / office facility.
I'm a keen outdoors enthusiast, surfer; windsurfer who loves sailing in the Obidos lagoon and surfing on the beaches around the lagoon.
Around the lagoon there are country paths with bird watching facilities, which are excellent for hiking , cycling , photography or just enjoy nature, peace and tranquillity.
The house is located around 300m from the edge of the lagoon and about 200m from Nadadouro village centre. The village has several cafes, restaurants where local authentic food can be found and a mini market.
Our tourism concept is to respect Nature and the local traditional architecture. The land around the cottage has been landscaped and planted with native aromatic plants and species aiming to preserve the native ecosystem and maximise it with species which are favourable for bees, butterflies, birds and local wildlife.
We try to recycle (e.g. old wood pallets to use as furniture) and re-use as much as possible. This is an effort to minimise our environmental and architectural footprint, blend in with local Nature ecosystem and architecture.
The lagoon is great for hiking, cycling, fishing, canoeing , stand up paddleboarding, windsurfing, sailing and kitesurfing. There is a water sports centre nearby (Escola de Vela da Lagoa) which caters for sports such as windsurfing, kayaking, kite surfing, SUP paddleboarding and catamaran (Hobie cat) sailing. The water sports centre also has a great eating and lounging area by the lagoon edge with excellent views.
