There you´ll find a bright great room with two areas, a dining room, and a living room with a sleeper sofa that accommodates two guests comfortably. The apartment offers two bedrooms. The master bedroom has an amazing view of the palace and is very spacious with a queen bed. The second bedroom has two individual beds (a twin bed with a pull-out/slide-out bed underneath) and a laptop-friendly workplace. Energy-efficient and noise-reduction double-pane windows and the door to the balcony in the kitchen have recently been replaced. Central air and heating have also been installed. The apartment is equipped with full kitchen utilities including a dishwasher, washing machine, and coffee machine for all types of hot beverages. A hairdryer, iron w/ iron board, and vacuum are available. Also provided are linen, towels, shampoo, body wash, conditioner, hand soap, and tissues. The apartment comes with free high-speed WIFI throughout the apartment.

We live in the US, and every year, we go on vacation to Portugal, our country of origin. We always stay in our apartment in Mafra, and for the rest of the year, the apartment is vacant. After fully renovating our apartment, we decided to rent it out as a local lodging establishment in a way to better maintain it. Due to its perfect location, our guests will be able to experience Mafra, our beloved hometown, as true locals and feel the beat of the town by watching the hustle and bustle of people in the street going about their daily lives. Mafra is a charming town that people will love as much as we do. We love to travel ourselves, and we want our guests to see our apartment as a home away from home.

This town near Lisbon, in the "saloia" (rustic) area, which used to supply the capital with garden produce, is famous for its imposing Palace-Convent, the largest edifice in Portugal, built by order of King Dom João V in the 18th century. In the surrounding area, it is worth visiting José Franco's ceramics workshop in the village of Sobreiro, where you can appreciate the more traditional aspects of life in the local villages, life-sized or in animated miniatures.
