Situated in an over 200 year old estate, Palheiro Village offers a truly exceptional holiday experience. An 18 hole golf course, spa, gourmet restaurant and world renown botanical gardens are just a few features of the property. The Palheiro Village is a 10 minute drive out of Funchal and the perfect place to enjoy privacy and discreetness. Being a part of a 130 hectare Estate, there is more to the Palheiro Village than just luxury accommodation. Once here you wil discover over 22 km of walking, cycling and running trails, 2 superb restaurants, a world class spa with treatments, na 18 hole golf course with sea views from every hole! Not enough, how about tennis? Too active for your taste? Then just sit back, relax and enjoy the magnificent views from virtually any part of the Estate with a glass of Madeira wine in hand . Don´t forget the Palheiro Gardens topped off with a light lunch in the garden tea house. Just within a 5 minute drive from the Village (lower part of the Estate) you will find a selection of local restaurants, pastry shop and 2 supermarkets. The closest beach is a 6 minute drive away. Once in Funchal, you will be spoiled for choice on restaurants, museums , cultural events and not to forget shopping. Is nature high on your list, how about over 2000km of levadas to choose from?
