Around, Tavira is a calm and peaceful city, full of customs and traditions. Take a stroll to sit down for a local seafood meal at a variety of nearby restaurants. Cafes, restaurants and markets are accessible on foot. You will be close to Avenida Ria Formosa, where you can catch the ferry to Ilha de Cabanas - a beautiful white sand beach on the Atlantic coast. You will be situated in the 60km that make up the Ria Formosa National Park, known for its network of islands, marshes and canals, and a popular place to visit the resident flocks of flamingos.
