Recently restructured as a company, our vision is to combine rural tourism with the ongoing agricultural life of the estate, preserving its heritage while creating memorable experiences for our guests. We are a small and dedicated team committed to offering warm, personal service while respecting each guest's privacy, ensuring every stay is relaxed, comfortable and truly authentic.

Herdade do Mondego is a historic countryside estate located in the heart of the Serra da Estrela Natural Park, where nature, comfort and authenticity come together. For centuries the estate was dedicated to agriculture and still preserves its rural character, surrounded by olive groves, fruit trees and peaceful green landscapes that invite guests to slow down and reconnect with nature. The property offers carefully designed rooms and independent holiday houses, three outdoor swimming pools, private hot tubs in selected units, spacious gardens and direct access to the Mondego River. Here, the only sounds you'll hear are birdsong and the river flowing nearby, making it the perfect place to relax, hike, enjoy the night sky or simply disconnect from everyday life. Although wonderfully peaceful, Herdade do Mondego is only around 15 minutes from Guarda and just a short drive from the Mondego Walkways, making it an ideal base for exploring the Serra da Estrela region throughout the year.
