Located in the village of Mendiga, in the heart of the Aire and Candeeiros Mountain Natural Park, Refúgio das Artes is a place designed for those seeking tranquility, comfort, and an authentic connection with nature. The 1,500 m² property offers several cozy corners to relax, read, meditate, or simply enjoy the silence. Between the swimming pool and the various shaded outdoor spaces, the atmosphere invites you to slow down and breathe deeply. It features 5 welcoming rooms, all with private bathrooms, TV, and fridge. Breakfast is included in the stay and served in a shared room where simplicity and a homely feel prevail. Our house, with many years of history, is built of wood and stone, and has been carefully preserved to maintain its traditional charm. Like any old house, it can get warm on very hot days. We do not have air conditioning, but we provide fans, light bedding, and local tips to enjoy your stay comfortably. Ideal for couples, hikers, nature lovers, pilgrims, or travelers wanting to explore central Portugal, Refúgio das Artes is the perfect place to disconnect from routine and reconnect with yourself. CHECK-IN INFORMATION: In-person check-in is available from 2 PM to 6 PM. After 6 PM, guests will receive instructions for self check-in.
