This charming rustic-inspired vacation home is located in a quiet place, 500 meters from the town of Óbidos and its castle. It is also 20 km from Baleal beach, for the surfing enthusiasts, and the quaint village of Peniche, with its spacious beach and prized seafood is just 25 km away. For a more tranquil day, the stunning Buddha Eden gardens are just 10 km away. Lots to do and see for all.

Óbidos is one of our favorite places in all of Portugal. We enjoy walking its old cobblestone streets up to the castle and talking to the locals or simply sitting and watching the late summer evening sunlight stream through Bougainvillea-laden houses while sipping a tasty ginjinha. I guess we are romantics at heart. :-)

The neighborhood is very quiet, clean and friendly. We are within a short walk from two cafes. Canastra Cafe is just around the corner and Infusion is just 2 minutes down the street. If you wish to pick up anything, two large supermarkets (Continente and Pingo Doce) are both within 5 minutes walking distance. Once a month there are local flea markets with street food to enjoy just before the entrance to the castle walls, and of course Óbidos is famous for its year-round attractions: the chocolate and medieval festivals and its family-friendly Christmas village.
