Vivenda Gomes is a cosy traditional house very close to the sea and with a huge patio. This is the perfect place to enjoy some relaxing holidays in touch with the nature.
Meet your hosts Ilídio Gomes and Paulo Gomes, father and son, owners of the apartments. Ilídio, 75 years old is a former TV Station operator that is passionate about fishing, sailing, playing guitar and painting. Paulo, 33 years old is an environmental engineer that is passionate about nature, the ocean, surfing and also a musician that learned from his father. Paulo plays in 3 local bands, an alternative rock band, an azorean music folk band and a tuna (typical portuguese and spanish university musical groups). So whenever you wish to see a live concert just talk to us.
Porto Martins is a calm and safe bathing area, one of the best places to enjoy vacations in Terceira island. This parish is also a wine region with lots of vineyards and it is the only place in the Azores where olives grow. Porto Martins is also famous for it's natural pools that are just a 3 minutes walk away from the house. There you can also find a nice restaurant and a bar nearby. There is also a boardwalk, a little fishing harbor and a surf zone. Porto Martins has the particularity of being close to both cities of the island, about 6 Km from Praia da Vitória and 18 Km from Angra do Heroísmo. There is also a golf course and other attractions within a 15 minutes drive. This place offers the perfect combination for those who seek for a relaxing vacation by the oceanside and proximity to the main attractions of the island.
