My name is Aida Maslan, and I grew up in Ribarska Banja — just one floor below the apartments, where my parents still live. I know every corner of Ribarska Banja, its people, and its beauty, and I will do my best to share that experience with you. The main reason to visit Ribarska Banja is, without a doubt, its water—more specifically, the healing sulfur springs that you can enjoy in several pools. Our top recommendation is the Wellness Center, located in a historic building right in the center of Ribarska Banja, about 300 meters from our apartments. A particularly magical experience awaits you in winter when you can bathe outside in warm water while surrounded by snow. If you're visiting during the summer, we highly recommend the aqua park on Samar Hill, about 800 meters from the apartments. It features several slides and pools, a café, sun loungers, and a parking area right in front. When hunger strikes, our absolute favorite is the Avlija tavern, located about 1 km away. Another great option is the ethno watermill in Srndalje, which you can reach on foot (if you're in shape and enjoy hiking) or by taking a ride on the "Trucko train" —an experience in itself with its charming wagons. Don’t hesitate to venture into the forests of Mount Jastrebac — just make sure you're equipped with navigation tools. As kids, we used to spend our summers in those woods and on the surrounding meadows, but adults often forget to take a turn off the road and into untouched nature. You can pick wild strawberries, medicinal herbs, mushrooms (but only if you're a knowledgeable forager), and see creeks, fields, and pastures. If that sounds like a bit too much adventure, we recommend visiting the Monastery of Saint Roman in the village of Đunis, about 20 km from Ribarska Banja, or taking a trip to Kruševac, 34 km away. Another great option is visiting the lake on the opposite side of Mount Jastrebac.
