Årås Säteri & Trädgårdar is owned and run by a local community association. It all began in the 1980s, when a group of friends purchased the old mill to create a place where people from the area could meet and spend time together. More than 30 years later, the main manor house along with its adjoining wings was acquired, allowing their passion for building conservation to truly flourish. What makes Årås unique is the strong voluntary commitment that forms the foundation of everything we do today. Without our dedicated volunteers and a passionate board, Årås would not be where it is today. Today, Årås includes the event venue Kvarnen (the Mill), two hostel accommodations, a Garden Hotel, a dance floor, and the main manor house. Over the years, Årås has been nominated for and received several awards, most recently the STF Sustainability Award and the Architecture Award from Ulricehamn Municipality.

Welcome to Årås, a place where history, building conservation, and the future go hand in hand. Deep in the West Swedish countryside, we offer accommodation with deep historical roots. Here you can enjoy peace and tranquillity, relax and unwind. At Årås, you can set off on hikes along the various trails, or take a bike ride through the countryside where the Änglagård films were shot. In the estate park, you’ll find a beautiful kitchen garden, and for children there is a playground.
