Welcome to our paradise! If you want to experience the feeling of time that has stood still, then these heritaged-listed cottages are the right place for you. They were built in the early 18th century and have not been used for the passed 100 years until now, when they have been meticulously restored, with old hand craft methods and with great efford to preserve the originality. The old floorboards are wide and worn, doors thresholds high and ceilings are low, rooms ar small but the coziness factor is huge. Here the food is cooked once the stove is heated with fire and the old big brick ovens are once again ready to be used for cooking and baking, also with fire. For modern convenience, bathrooms have been incorporated discreetly and the beds have matrasses that are new and comfortable. Here you can feel the contrast to our modern world and wake up in the morning to enjoy the silence, pick eggs from the hen house, pet the goats and horses, take a walk or bicycle to the near by lake. The cottages are situated right next to each other. The smaller one has one bedroom with a 55-inch bed, a kitchen, and a small bathroom. The second and bigger cottage has two floors with two bedrooms, one with a king size bed and a children’s bed, and one with a 47-inch bed. On the bottom floor there is a kitchen, a bathroom, and a sitting room. All rooms except one bedroom have fireplaces and both cottages have old fashion wood sofas that could be used as extra beds if needed. Between the two cottages lays the old baking house, with a huge brick oven that can be used upon reguest. Interior pictures will come soon! Our privat pool will be available upon request. The host is an interior design photographer and hobby farmer, with a passion for old houses, gardening and traveling.

The cottages are surrounded by genuine countryside with fields, meadows, forest, and historical land with several with Bronze Age graves. A lake with swimming and fishing opportunities is situated a five-minute bicycle ride away and on the neighboring property there is a beautiful nature reserve on a peninsula, with walking paths and swimming opportunities. Despite the provincial setting, it takes only seven minutes by car to the nearest grocery store and ten minutes to a large shopping center, where there is a zoo with a funfair. The central station is fifteen minutes away and the train to Stockholm takes a little less than an hour.
