Escape to a peaceful and stylish island retreat in the Stockholm archipelago. The property features a 40 m² main cabin and a 15 m² guest cabin, comfortably sleeping up to 6 guests. Accessible by public ferry, this is the perfect getaway for those seeking a simple, nature-focused stay with basic amenities, including cold water and an outdoor shower. The space Water, Comforts & Island Living A relaxing place, close to nature yet still close to Stockholm city as well as other islands in the Archipelago. The house does not have running water (we provide fresh water), but you’ll have access to lake water for the outdoor kitchen and in the outdoor shower — perfect for a refreshing rinse after a swim or a day in the sun. The water from the lake can be heated in a boiler to make washing up dishes easy. Fresh drinking water is provided in canisters, and inside the main cabin you can easily pump water by hand to the sink in the small indoor kitchen. There are two toilet options: a classic outdoor outhouse tucked into the surroundings, and a modern incinerator toilet inside the main cabin for added comfort. The cottage sits on a natural plot, with uneven terrain and surrounding woodland that adds to its wild, untouched charm. Please note there are several steps leading up from the road to the house, and the setting may be a bit challenging for very small children. Despite the peaceful seclusion, you’re never far from the city. With the public ferry stopping on the island, you can reach central Stockholm in under an hour. If you’re arriving by car, the journey is even shorter — less than 30 minutes to this quiet retreat from the city. Guest access Easiest is by car via car ferry from Norra Lagnö.
