Cycle or walk to Skokloster Castle (3 km), walk forest trails, fish, or swim in Lake Mälaren, a short stroll away. The castle is also reachable by bus from the nearby stop. A lakeside jetty and fire pit make evenings memorable. A communal pool and tennis court sit just behind the property. The house is compact and thoughtfully designed. A fully equipped kitchenette, cosy living area, and flexible bedroom with two single beds (easily arranged as a double) suits couples or a small family. Private bathroom with shower, washing machine, and drying rack included. A local shop, café, restaurants, and outdoor gym are all within walking distance. Skokloster is a quiet, authentic Swedish village where nature, history, and everyday life sit side by side. Lake Mälaren is just minutes away, offering swimming, fishing, and lazy afternoons on the jetty. A shallow beach makes it ideal for families, and the fire pit area is perfect for summer evenings. The surrounding forest is part of one of Northern Europe's finest nature reserves. Walking trails wind through genuine mixed woodland, where you may stumble upon ancient rune stones along the way. Skokloster Castle, one of Europe's best-preserved Baroque museums, is within easy reach on foot, by bike, or by bus. For something memorable, take the scenic boat from Uppsala across Lake Mälaren and arrive directly at the castle. Within walking distance you will find a local shop with freshly baked bread, a pizzeria, a street food truck, an outdoor gym, tennis and beach volleyball courts, a coffee roastery by the church, and a chocolate shop behind the inn. Canoes are available to hire at the lakeside. Clay shooting at one of Sweden's finest English-style clubs is also nearby for those who fancy something different.
