Maja and Grega are passionate local hosts with a lifelong connection to the Bohinj Valley and the Julian Alps. Their deep knowledge of the area, combined with a love for nature and active travel, helps guests feel genuinely welcome and well looked after.
Maja grew up in Bohinj surrounded by international visitors and nature. As an ANFT-certified forest guide, she offers a unique connection to the forest and the natural environment. She enjoys hiking in the Julian Alps and cycling through the Bohinj Valley, and is always happy to share calm nature experiences and local insights.
Grega has been involved in tourism and outdoor sports for over 30 years. A passionate mountain biker since the early days of MTB in Slovenia, he studied tourism and worked as a destination marketing manager, instructor, and program leader in Bohinj and Bled. He is the founder of Hike & Bike and loves combining active exploration with great local food.
Together, Maja and Grega help guests discover Bohinj and the Julian Alps in an authentic, active, and personal way, offering tips, route suggestions, and local knowledge to make every stay special.
