In the heart of the Poljanska Valley, the rich history of the Lipan Inn has been woven with countless stories since its inception in 1966. Lojze and Tilka Filipič started this journey in Hotavlje, marking the beginning with their first glass of wine, setting a tradition that endures to this day. As their family grew, so did their hospitality offerings, rooted in traditional culinary practices that remain the backbone of our story. Today, their sons, Izidor and Janez, along with their wives Klavdija and Sabina, continue the legacy, with occasional help from their sister Andreja and her husband Janez. Our commitment to tradition and innovation is reflected in our modern culinary trends and the cozy ambiance along the rushing Sora River, ensuring an unforgettable experience for even the most discerning guests. For us, hospitality is more than a profession; it is a way of life. We prioritize high-quality ingredients and the professional training of our team, aiming to make every visit a memorable one. Though the second generation now runs the inn, Mama Tilka still starts her day in the kitchen, sharing her wisdom and passion, inspiring Janez and Klavdija to create dishes that blend freshness and a symphony of flavors. Guests can extend their stay by resting in one of our seven modern double rooms, two of which feature a living area with a pull-out bed. We have also set up a business office for guests, equipped with a computer, printer, fax, scanner, copier, and internet access. Our youngest visitors will enjoy a delightful play corner designed just for them.
