The Castle Farm is a rare gem—one of the few remaining traditional barnhouses in Kočevsko. These structures were once a regional staple, designed so that people and animals could share the same roof. Today, that heritage lives on: from April to October, you’ll see animals grazing in the nearby meadows. We specialize in beekeeping and fruit orchards, and our nearby "bee house" is used for tastings, apitherapy, or simply to watch the bees at work. The entire upper floor is yours to enjoy, featuring an anteroom, two bedrooms, a cozy living room, a kitchen, a pantry, and a bathroom. We’ve intentionally left out the television to help you unplug and connect with nature, though Wi-Fi is available if you need it. You can also relax on the terrace next to the house. Good to know: Garden: There is a small tent camp located in the garden behind the house. Parking: Several vehicles can be parked easily in the courtyard. We recommend our barnhouse to those who appreciate tranquility, simplicity, and a warm, rustic atmosphere.

The Castle Farm enjoys a tranquil setting at the foot of the Stojna hill range, where the town of Kočevje meets the deep forest. Its location offers the best of both worlds: the town center is just a few minutes' walk away, while pristine nature is right on your doorstep. Highlights of the area: Hiking: The Castle Trail (just 100m away) leads to the historic Friedrichstein Castle ruins and the Mestni vrh lookout. Cycling: Explore numerous local trails or use the mountain bike shuttle for access to professionally maintained downhill courses. Swimming: Cool off during the summer at the nearby town lake or take a scenic 30-minute drive to the beautiful Kolpa River.
