GUESTS MUST BRING THEIR OWN CAMPING TENTS. The camping area is part of the Castle Farm, featuring one of the few remaining house barns in the Kočevsko region. This unique architecture—where people and animals lived under a single roof—was once widespread throughout the area. From April to October, you can see the animals grazing in the meadows surrounding the house. Today, the farm’s primary focus is beekeeping and fruit cultivation. Nearby, you can visit the bee house, which is used for tasting honey products, apitherapy, and bee watching. Behind the house, at the foot of a hill that provides refreshing summer shade, lies a garden terrace with designated camping plots and a barbecue area. Guests have full access to an outdoor kitchen, separate bathrooms, toilets, and laundry facilities. Ample parking is available in the courtyard. We warmly recommend our campsite to those who value tranquility, simplicity, and a welcoming atmosphere.

The Castle Farm enjoys a tranquil setting at the foot of the Stojna hill range, where the town of Kočevje meets the deep forest. Its location offers the best of both worlds: the town center is just a few minutes' walk away, while pristine nature is right on your doorstep. Highlights of the area: Hiking: The Castle Trail (just 100m away) leads to the historic Friedrichstein Castle ruins and the Mestni vrh lookout. Cycling: Explore numerous local trails or use the mountain bike shuttle for access to professionally maintained downhill courses. Swimming: Cool off during the summer at the nearby town lake or take a scenic 30-minute drive to the beautiful Kolpa River.
