Our holiday home has a story of passion, love for the Uskovnica pasture and the Triglav national park. Mitja's grandfather Franc was the one who built this mountain-surrounded house with a clear vision of it becoming a warm, welcoming guest home. He dedicated a huge part of his life to building it, but sadly, never accomplished his life dream because of constant struggle around money. His dream passed away with him. Mitja, who loved his grandfather very much, decided to continue his work and today the house is finally fulfilling its purpose. This is a place where time stops for you to take a moment off in your fast life tempo, breathe in, enjoy the exceptional beauty of Uskovnica and just be. We kindly welcome you to Franc Holiday House! Please note, that our holiday house is accessible by car via 7km long unpaved road (approximately 25 minutes). However, four wheel drive is not a must.
We' re a young couple of musicians who love to travel, hike, kitesurf and meet new people. We both constantly seek adventures, new opportunities to experience life to the fullest, and we both have a special connection to the Uskovnica pasture. We love our mountains very dearly, we both think there is a special kind of energy flowing in Uskovnica, and we'd like you to see (or better, feel) it for yourself, because beauty of this kind is really hard to find in today's technocratic, fast-living world.
