I am a child of the city. I lived in Ljubljana until 2022. Working as a producer at RTV Slovenija for 30 years, I found myself in a constant lack of time. I couldn't spend time with my family, my children and friends, ... I didn't even find time to read a good book once in a while, even though I always liked that. But there were some times when we would go to our holiday home on our hill. And that was the only place where I could really recharge and rehabilitate from all the big and demanding work projects I was submitted to. I wanted to spend more time here, on our hill, which we call Bloke plateau in our family. And my wish came true. Today I am grateful and feel immensely privileged to be able to spend every day of the year at Bloke.

A modern, wooden house near Lake Bloke will offer you a pleasant and comfortable shelter. It is surrounded by unspoilt nature, which invites you to slow down, take your time and space and enjoy the infinity of forests and meadows. It is suitable for a small family or a couple. You can rent the house throughout the whole year. It is most beautiful in the summer when the meadows bloom and in the winter when the snow falls. There is something special and beautiful about the place in every season.

Neighborhood info

There are quite a few natural attractions in the immediate vicinity and reachable by car in 15/30 minutes. I would highly recommend visiting the world-famous disapiring Cerknica lake, which has nicely arranged bird and wildlife observatories. Follow one of the marked paths around the lake, it will show you a different face in every season. Climb Slivnica or Križna gora, and if you are interested in the underground world, there is Križna cave. Take a day trip to Rakov Škocjan or the spectacular Postojna Cave. For lovers of castles and history, there are two pearls, Snežnik Castle and Predjama Castle. In winter, there is a small ski area for children in Sodražica.
