Built in a fantastic setting in 1928 by King Alexander 1 for his hunting guests in prime position on the whole ridge. It is the only tourist house high on Mezakla, a 15km long ridge 6km from the tarmac road easy car access via a stone forest road but still only 20 minutes drive (11 km) from Bled. Ideal for nature lovers,walkers, mountain bikers or people wanting peace and solitude,but still close to everything thing this fantastic area has to offer. On the ground floor is a full kitchen with all you would possibly need, with gas hob and old style woodburning cooking range, also included a dishwasher, microwave, fridges and freezers here is a large dining /social room with seating. There is outside seating and a BBQ, All you can see is mountains, forest and meadows. In the basement is a kids playroom with table football /snooker table,dartboard and various board games jigsaws etc,a laundry area washer and dryer,here is also a extra bathroom with 2 showers in case you want your kids to hurry up as we all do ! We provide all bedding and towels for this 7 bedroom house,maximum 22 persons. This is a nature protected here you can see deer, mountain goats and much more wildlife

My name is Paul (English) living in this fabulous area of Lakes and Mountains. I love the Triglav National Park and this part of it is very undeveloped. Hardly ever does a tourist come here. Sometimes I stay at this house and sometimes in our other rental The Millhouse Bled. So it is still possible to have Nature, Solitude and Wildlife, but be only 11km from busy Lake Bled. I found this house in 2012 in a derelict condition and because it was in a fantastic position and a house with history decided to renovate completely. It is a house designed for groups or families to share and is adaptable for all travellers from solo to groups of 22. It was taken over by the government of 1947 and used as a social house for the workers of the forest company. We run two houses here this one and The Millhouse Bled, I enjoy the variety of guests we have from all over the world.After many years of travelling I settled in this wonderful part of the country, I love the different seasons hot summers..cold snowy winters. I like Nature, Walking, Meditation and Yoga. I am interested in all people and cultures. I am an avid food and nature tourists.. Favourite place ? .. here I think..

This is a nature protected area, here you can see deer, mountain goats and much more wildlife....your kids will have Slovenia's biggest play area..... Please be aware this is a special house far from any any commercial area i.e shopping etc ... the nearest shop or restaurant is 7 km away. The House is situated 6 km from the tarmac road and accessed by a stone forest road on a Nature reserve, a normal car is fine for this road. Bled Lake is 11 km from the house. Mezakla used to be the Kings hunting grounds so no building was permitted and all you see from the front is forest, meadows and mountains. The house is above the wonderful Radovna Valley and Lake Kreda, The famous Vintgar Gorge is 1km from the road access and the house 11km from Bled Lake. Elevation 1000 metres ... (3,300 feet)
