Vineyard cottage Rataj 2 is located on Trška Gora, above Novo mesto. The balcony offers a beautiful view of the city, the ancient Gorjanci mountains and the Dolenjska Fields. The cottage can accommodate three people and is equipped with air conditioning, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine TV and Wi-Fi. Heating is combined electric and air conditioning. The lower part is furnished with an ancient room with a brick fireplace and a table for small company. In the renovation, we tried to breathe soul into the cottage, using mostly antique and local materials: solid wood, stone and old bricks. There is a summer kitchen with a fireplace for baking, a small table and a special feature of the cottage: a hot tub where you can relax and enjoy the view of Novo mesto. You can also pamper yourself in the infrared sauna. Guests can use the bath barrel to relax in 36 degrees hot water. We charge 60,00 EUR for filling the bath with water and for providing firewood to heat the barrel. In the immediate vicinity there is also a tourist cottage Rataj 1 for four persons, which is very suitable for a group of friends. Despite their proximity, the two houses maintain their intimacy. Vineyard Cottage Rataj is located on quiet and peaceful vineyard hill Trška Gora, above Novo mesto the capital of Dolenjska region. Cottage is surrounded by vineyards and other vineyard cottages with a marvellous view on Novo mesto and Krka river valley. For the active guests, the surrounding area offers a multitude of activities from hiking, cycling, boating on the Krka River, for the more adventurous there is a ride in a sports plane, a parachute jump from an aeroplane or a tandem paraglider flight, while for the more casual guests there is a visit to the spa, the town's sights or just a shopping trip in the nearby shopping centre. Vineyard Cottages is a perfect staring point for hiking and cycling trips around hills in Dolenjska region. Nearby golf course in Otočec, spa centres in Dolenjske Toplice and Šmarješke Toplice, Krka river and sightseeing landmarks of Dolenjska and Bela Krajina regions offer plenty of possibilities for an active holiday. Due to the good road connections you can visit other regions of Slovenia. Ljubljana the Slovenian capital is only around 45 min away from Novo mesto by car.
