I am an architect and interior designer and also own a spa in Khaosan (Ruamm urban spa retreat) which is a highly successful. I take over the blue house by the chang (now change to "Blue Chang House") in April, 2016 because I always dream to have a small boutique hotel. Space and style of the local old house are very charming. After renovation for a half year, I would like to share and look after all old and new guests in order to share the new experience while staying.

This charming old home, Blue Chang House (which means house of the blue elephant) has recently been acquired by architect owner, Sumet Ruamjai. Blue Chang House is reopening as a combined Guest House, that includes 4 new dormitory rooms and 21 upgraded private double rooms. All dormitories have 4 single beds, each with 3 shared bathrooms. The 21 private rooms range in size and price, and all include bathrooms. The largest private room is a suite with 3 rooms and can sleep up to 3 people. The approval ratings at the Blue Chang, have been consistently very positive and the new owner is determined to do even better. The Guest House will continue to provide excellent service with English speaking staff, who will be able to give you travel suggestions tailored to your interests. The really good and friendly service, combined with high quality sleeping and public space facilities will make your stay a sweet spot in your experience of Bangkok and Thailand.

Blue Chang House is situated on the well-known Khaosan road. This is a lively street in the centre of the old town in Bangkok (Rattanakosin island). Within 15 mins walk of the Guest House one can find many attractions such as, The Grand palace (Wat-Phra-Kaew), Wat Po (reclining Buddha), Wat Rajchanatda, The Golden Mountain Temple, Giant Swing and the Flower Market. This 1 km. street hosts a variety of budget accommodation, but the Blue Chang House is special in many different ways. It is worth adding that cleanliness is a high priority for the Guest House. All of these features add to the genuinely comfortable, appealing, and peaceful surroundings that set the Blue Chang apart from the other hostels in the city.
