Country home on the Boubon Trail. Great for a quick weekend or an extended stay for enjoying the many unique area sites as well as possibly seeing some of the local wildlife wandering through the woods.
There are several local restaurants if you aren't up to cooking at home & of course there's the bourbon distilleries within a few minutes of home - Maker's Mark, Log Still with it's great weekend concerts, Limestone Branch Distillery & many others. Take a tour at the Kentucky Cooperage, Lebanon & see how bourbon barrels are made. Visit the Retreat House & Welcome Center (for maps) at the Abbey of Gethsemani. Explore trails throughout nearly 1500 acres of knobs, lakes & forest west of Monk road. This area is rich with so much history including Holy Cross, known as the birthplace of Catholicism in Kentucky, established in 1785. The list goes on....
