Kentucky

Kentucky is famous for bourbon, bluegrass, and the Kentucky Derby. Known for rolling green horse country, caverns and warm southern hospitality, it blends big-city culture with rural charm. Families find outdoor adventures and hands-on museums, while solo travelers enjoy live music, distillery tours, and scenic drives.

Don’t miss Mammoth Cave and Kentucky Bourbon Trail. Take a guided cave tour or sample bourbon. Stay in Louisville for festivals, food, and access. Choose Lexington for horse farms and bluegrass, and Bowling Green for cave access and family attractions like National Corvette Museum.

The staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly. The bar is just beautiful, makes you feel like you've traveled back in time to a golden era. We were upgraded to a larger room, which was very much appreciated, my daughter felt like a princess here! The shuttle to the airport is excellent and 24 hrs.

Louisville

We went to the Louisville Slugger Museum, it was conveniently located, parking just around the corner, easy in and easy out of the city! The next day we went to the Mega Caverns for a Tram Ride through, the information was fabulous, the tour guide new her stuff! We also had dinner at Claudia Sanders, they had us at the 'yeast rolls' it was absolutely delicious! A great short overnight trip!

Such a nice friendly city.
Lexington

Such a nice friendly city. Great restaurants that won't break the bank. The 2 I would recommend are Timmy Two Fingers for Lunch/Dinner and Beaus Cafe for breakfast. A good GPS is all you need. It's easy to get around. I love anything outdoors and during my stay there was live music at the amphitheater on Midnight Place.

Williamstown

Drove into town and stopped at a few antique shops. There were a few restaurants and an icecream shop. Further away was a Wal-Mart and other places to eat. Was only there 2 days and saw a lot. Kellys Homestead restaurant was large with plenty of seating. We had the buffet, which included salad bar and dessert. It was just ok. I'm sure they have items on the menu that would have been better but we chose the buffet.

Overall the stay was very good.
Newport

Overall the stay was very good. The room was very clean, the location is convenient, and the parking area is large and easy to use. The view from the window is beautiful. We also really enjoyed Hofbräuhaus Newport — the German food and the atmosphere there were excellent. Walking along the riverfront and across the Purple People Bridge was wonderful and made the stay even more enjoyable. Unfortunately, we were not able to visit the Newport Aquarium because tickets were already sold out when we arrived. We did not realize that tickets should be purchased in advance, so visitors may want to buy aquarium tickets ahead of time. One suggestion: it would be great if there were an option to reserve a high floor when booking. We would gladly pay a little extra to stay on the top floor with a view of downtown Cincinnati and the river.

Erlanger

We extended our stay both times when we stayed for the Cincinnati reds game only 15minutes away. Their staff is amazing, helpful, kind, respectful, friendly especially overnight staff Aaron. Their lobby is beautiful with a fountain and cozy area with tasty me and husband enjoyed and relaxed. Atmosphere is quiet they have all types of vending machines from miscellaneous items food fruit and even beer or seltzer and water soda etc. Their restaurant is so good and prices amazing their breakfast only $13 a person was buffet and delicious. Their heated pool was amazing with workout room right in view. Hotel is so clean rooms amazing beds and pillows was okay could be better, besides that only hotel we will be staying at now when we visit Cincinnati.

Wilder

The location is easy to get to from 275 but beware Google maps - for some reason it did not want you to make a left turn into the Hotel and wanted you to pass it and do a U-turn and make a right turn, but there is no reason to not make a left in, not a safety issue. Maybe traffic pattern changed. No restaurant super close, you do have to venture out on highway. It is about 10-15 min from Newport or Cincinnati. It would have been helpful to know more about Wilder itself or had a local map, it seemed like the hotel was sort of just its own area off the road and not tied to a town, it is isolated. Certainly cannot walk anywhere other than adjacent Holiday Inn.
