Dear Guests, Bourbon Trail Bungalow is set up to be a comfortable, practical home base for exploring Kentucky's bourbon country. The bungalow sleeps up to five, with two bedrooms each suited for two adults and a sofa bed for an extra guest, plus a full kitchen, washer and dryer, dedicated workspace, and fast WiFi. The location is our main advantage. We sit minutes from the Marion County Trail, the only stretch of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail where you can see both bourbon and its barrels being made - Maker's Mark, Limestone Branch Distillery, and Kentucky Cooperage are all a short drive away, with Bardstown's distillery row about 30 minutes further. That means genuine bourbon-country access without the crowds or higher price points of staying directly in Bardstown or Louisville. As hosts, we aim to be responsive and easy to reach if questions come up before or during your stay. We're happy to share our own recommendations for distilleries, restaurants, and local spots if you'd like them. We maintain Superhost and Guest Favorite status on Airbnb, which reflects our consistency with cleanliness and guest communication. We keep the kitchen well-stocked for cooking after a day of tastings, and check-in instructions are clear so your arrival is straightforward. Our goal is simply a clean, comfortable, well-located stay you can count on. Welcome, The Bourbon Trail Bungalow Team
Welcome to your Bourbon Trail basecamp in Lebanon, Kentucky. Perfectly located near top distilleries, downtown dining, and local attractions. Whether you’re visiting for a weekend getaway, wedding, work assignment, or extended stay, this home is thoughtfully designed for comfort, convenience, and relaxation. Enjoy a peaceful residential setting that gives guests the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring, attending local events, or working nearby.
Bourbon Trail Bungalow sits in Lebanon, Kentucky, the geographic heart of the state and an official Trailhead of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. Lebanon is the only town on the trail where you can watch both bourbon and its barrels being made, all within an 11-mile stretch, with far fewer crowds than Bardstown or Louisville. Guests love the Marion County Trail right outside the door, an easy loop linking Maker's Mark (a National Historic Landmark, ~15-20 min away) at one end, Limestone Branch Distillery (home of Yellowstone Bourbon) in the middle, and Kentucky Cooperage - the only barrel-making tour on the entire Bourbon Trail - at the other. Many guests cover it in a single relaxed day. Downtown offers a walkable evening: historic Centre Square, local murals, and County Seat Kitchen & Bar, a farm-to-table favorite with live local music and bourbon flights. Rosewood Bar & Grill, Cedarwood Restaurant, and SchoolGrounds Coffee round out the dining scene. Don't miss the Maker's Mark Water Tower downtown, home of the world's longest bourbon pour and a favorite photo stop. Nearby Bardstown (~26 miles, 30 min), the "Bourbon Capital," adds the Oscar Getz Museum of Whiskey History, Heaven Hill, and My Old Kentucky Home State Park. History buffs can visit Lincoln Homestead State Park (~20 min) and Abraham Lincoln Birthplace (~45 min). For the outdoors, Gorley Naturalist Walking Trail and Sportsman's Lake are both within 10 minutes. Prefer wine some days? Jester's Winery, a few miles outside town, pours dry, sweet, and bourbon-barrel-aged wines with a great view. Tips: rent a car, as attractions span rural Marion, Washington, and Nelson counties. Kentucky Cooperage requires advance online booking with no walk-ins; Maker's Mark is the trail's busiest stop, so reserve both ahead. Plan two nights to pair the Marion County Trail with a Bardstown day trip.
