Come see this charming two-bedroom cabin, with one-and-a-half bathrooms, that has a rich history in Brown County! Charley's Cabin is the perfect retreat for those seeking relaxation by the stars. You'll create unforgettable memories here that will add to the cabin's legacy. Only a short drive away are the Brown County State Park and the delightful shops and restaurants of Nashville. Charley's Cabin was built on the site of Alfred Oaldon's old blacksmith shop by Charlie Fox between 1987 and 1990. To replicate his childhood home in Brown County, Charlie used logs he cut himself on an old sawmill he owned as a young man. During WWII, he served in the United States Navy in Guam as a Seabee, where he honed his valuable building skills in constructing airstrips. You'll find more information about the cabin's fascinating history throughout the space. While we provide routine professional pest control and keep our homes clean and well-maintained, guests may occasionally see seasonal pests such as mice, flies, lady beetles (Asian beetles), or stink bugs — especially in the fall and spring. These harmless insects are part of life in a rural setting. We do everything possible to minimize their presence and appreciate your understanding as part of the authentic Brown County experience! PET-FRIENDLY PROPERTY: There is a USD 75 fee per pet. Moondance Vacation Homes proudly donates a portion to the Brown County Humane Society when you bring your pet and pay your pet fee.
