This amazing property became an inn in 1987 and we are privileged to be the third innkeepers/owners. Already we have begun exploring the beautiful towns that surround us and have already found time for our first hike together at the Flume Gorge. Stunningly beautiful!! We can't wait to see it all! Experience the charm of a cozy 18th century bed and breakfast steeped rich in America's history. We are located between Plymouth and Campton in the surrounds of New Hampshire's spectacular White Mountains, Waterville Valley, Newfound & Squam Lakes Regions,. All rooms are on the second floor and have private baths. As guests in the house you will have a key to your room and to the back door off of the parking lot and you are free to come an go as you please. Off of the dinning room is a refrigerator for guests with an assortment of non-alcoholic beverages and space for leftovers from some of the marvelous restaurants in the area! There is a Keurig coffee maker in the dinning room with an assortment of coffee and teas available 24/7. Fresh baked treats are available in the afternoon and evening.. Many guests enjoy using the breakfast porch to read or to set up their laptops to get work done. As the innkeepers at the Colonel Spencer Inn, we are here 7 days a week. Our living area is connected to the main house and we are available to help make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We are here to be as involved or un-involved with your stay as you are comfortable with.

Our location is perfect for biking, hiking, golfing, skiing, and especially travelers to Plymouth State University, The Holderness School, Laconia Motorcycle Week and others interested in antiquing, shopping, fine dining, local festivals and more! Breakfast is served 8:00am - 9:00am. Should your schedule require a somewhat earlier or later breakfast please let us know at check-in and we will do everything we can to accommodate your needs.
