Hi, I'm Ryan—your host at Corton Lodge. I’m a proud West Virginia native who fell in love with this beautiful 1913 church and decided to give it new life as a place of rest, adventure, and connection. After years working in engineering and design, I returned to my roots to renovate this historic building with care, preserving its original woodwork, bell tower, and timeless charm. I designed much of the custom woodwork, etched the tiles by hand, and even created a miniature replica of the lodge to share with guests. Corton Lodge isn’t just a place to stay—it’s part of my story. I live with Parkinson’s disease, and this project has become a symbol of hope, creativity, and resilience. My goal is to offer guests a peaceful retreat where they can slow down, breathe deeply, and feel at home in the beauty of West Virginia.
