The place has a comfortable queen bed in the bedroom, a double bed (in the loft - accessible by ladder), and a pull-out sofa bed in the main living area. It can accommodate 3-4 people. We permit up to 1 small pet free of charge (up to 30 lbs.). The property is located right off the main road, providing easy access to local attractions (including Jiminy Peak ski area, Ramblewild, and Mount Greylock). The back yard of the cabin is wooded and flanked by a cold water stream with a footbridge that you can fish from. There is plenty of off-street parking. We have both indoor and outdoor fireplaces. Firewood is available at several locations nearby.
I live in the area and enjoy hiking, sightseeing, sporting events, concerts and dinner out. I can guide you to the best hiking options, local attractions and restaurants if you'd like.
Jiminy Peak ski area is located 5 miles away. Mount Greylock (the highest mountain in Mass.) is even closer. We are a short drive to MassMOCA (world's largest contemporary art museum), Bennington Vermont, Tanglewood, and the Norman Rockwell Museum. There are several new farm stands in town that sell everything from fresh flowers to corn to maple syrup. The traffic in the area is almost always light, allowing you to spend more time sightseeing. Pontoosac Lake is just a few miles away, offering free swimming and paid boat rentals. Finally, the popular Ashuwillticook Rail Trail is 5-10 minutes drive. This is a beautiful paved 10' wide x 12 mile long trail for biking, walking, rollerblading, etc. with several free parking lots.
