We live on a peaceful 200 year-old farm in rural Maine which we share with our guests. The house has been completely renovated and there are many common rooms and spaces including a deck and patio and an extensive yard and garden. Each guest room has access to a shared 1/2 bath on the second floor and a shared full bath on the first floor. This is the country, so there is lots of wildlife!
My husband, Peter, and I have been married 43 years and are now retired. We are avid outdoors people with lots of hiking, boating, fishing, skiing and technical climbing experience (Peter). We have been sharing our home with guests at our property since 2018 and have hosted hundreds of happy visitors!
We live on a country road with no visible neighbors and it is quiet and peaceful (and there is lots of wildlife). We are three miles from the quaint village of Bridgton, which has all the usual amenities including restaurants, shops, and a lovely theater. We are in the lakes region so there is water everywhere! We are a short drive to the White Mountains with hundreds of miles of hiking and other recreational options. There is no regular public transportation although guests may be able to Uber.
