Hello! We're a family of firefighters from North Carolina who fell in love with the high desert's privacy and beauty. We created Sand Canyon Oasis as our personal getaway and are excited to share it. This is high‑desert Cortez, Colorado—big skies and bigger history. Mesa Verde National Park is an easy drive; Hovenweep and McElmo Canyon’s scenic byway are close. The area blends world‑class archaeology with year‑round recreation: singletrack, canyon hikes, birding, and back‑road drives.
