With windows and doors that open onto the ocean-view deck or to a lush courtyard, there is beauty at every turn. Steps away is Little Parker Pit, a freshwater quarry for that early morning wake up swim or afternoon refresher. From the parking area, walk up about 10 steps to its private deck with water views and enter the cottage. The open-plan living room/dining room/kitchen has cathedral ceilings and a skylight. The main living area flows past the kitchen to the Queen bedroom and a full bath with tiled shower. Mini-splits provide both cooling and heating, making the cottage comfortable all year. In it's history, the cottage was the blacksmith's shed where where the oxen, working the nearby granite quarries, were shod. Vestiges can be seen throughout the house and in the courtyard once the floor of the oxen barn. From the private deck, enjoy the views of Sandy Bay dotted with sailboats. Or, walk down the quiet lane to Granite Pier and experience the unsurpassed views of the sun rising over the Atlantic Ocean, and of fishing boats moored nearby. The full moon over Granite Pier is spectacular, and even locals come here to experience its glow. Just steps away at Granite Pier (about 120 yards from the house,) you can launch your kayak or SUP and explore the coastline. No pets. No smoking. No events or parties.
