This dog-friendly house sits among lofty evergreens on half an acre of land, with over 500 acres of off-leash hiking trails accessible one street over. With its abundant public lands and trails, Happy Valley makes a wonderful home base in the Whitefish area. When you're not taking your dogs for long walks near home, you'll be a quick drive from artsy downtown Whitefish (six miles), downtown Kalispell (11 miles), and Whitefish Mountain Resort (12 miles). The west entrance of spectacular Glacier National Park is within a 28-mile drive as well. Summer days here are for hiking, mountain biking, and spending the afternoons in the yard out back. Sear steaks on the gas grill, dine at sunset on the deck, and roast marshmallows and tell stories around the outdoor firepit. Inside, the house is casual and comfortable, with cozy living rooms on each of the two floors. Prepare meals together using stainless steel kitchen appliances, stream movies (with your own accounts) after dinner each night, and leave the day's clothes to spin in the washer/dryer as you head off to bed.
