SAME-DAY/LAST MINUTE RESERVATIONS: Please note that for last minute reservations guest MUST confirm availability by calling the hotel directly. The hotel has limited on site reception desk hours (Generally 8am-5pm). Off hour/last minute arrivals MUST be coordinated with our “contactless check-in and Registration Process” by texting. This service is available 24/7 to provide programmed key codes. Failure to confirm your last minute reservation with us directly will result in delay or denial of entry regardless of online confirmation. For off hour SAME-DAY or LATE-NIGHT Reservations please confirm our availability first by texting/calling the hotel directly before arrival. Do so even if the website confirms your room. Do not depart for the hotel until you receive direct hotel confirmation from our in person staff that we are ready to receive you. We request last minute reservation confirmation to insure that your room is still available; as we do occasionally accept last minute guest requests on site before we’re able to post no-vacancy to the website. The hotel also has a special arrangement with the owner of “Sea Mink Island” (1 Mink Island, Beals, Maine); where guests with boats are allowed to visit for free while staying at the Harbor House Hotel. We will soon open a sister location in Harrington, Maine for UTV and snow mobile rentals. A Release Wavier is required due to the inherent rocky nature and island wildlife (seals, mink, 2 x eagles, etc).

Our goal is to offer reasonable cost for higher end accommodations off the beaten paths of DownEastern regions in Maine. Our company seeks to connect niche tourist markets with venues to allow our guests to just escape from everyday life. We want you to explore the people of Maine and nature as it is; while avoiding all the fuss and busy tourist traps found in more common destinations.

Our hotel is intended as a base of operations for exploring DownEast (off the beaten path) so that one may truly see what is meant in Maine by “The Way Life should be!” The Harbor House Hotel is located at the Jonesport municipal wharf. The building was built in 1887, with the rooms renovated to modern standards of comfort. We not only serve international tourist, but also have partnered with emergency shipyard repair services, and have availability to a public dock where you may approach the hotel by boat. Our Fishing Community: Unlike typical tourist traps, if you wave to a Jonesport Local, they will wave back! As they say, “It’s a way of life, so please don’t expect us to change.” We are Not a Bar Harbor, nor a Camden Maine but rather a true Working Class fishing village; with a very proud history of “just doing what we do!” Getting to know us in person & watching Mainers harvest their lobster, scallops, clams, and mussels is half the fun. Jonesport is a 17 mins detour from US route 1. We are about 1 1/2 hrs northeast of bar harbor and 1 hr 18 mins southwest of Calais, ME, USA & the St. Stephen., New Brunswick, Canada border.
