Mariposa Ridge Retreat is located a short 1.5 miles from the village of Mariposa, County seat and center of the famous Highway 49 Gold Country. You can visit the oldest Courthouse west of the Mississippi and view original Gold mining claims. There are 2 museums dedicated to the historic preservation of gold mining in the town of Mariposa for you to explore along with quaint shops and world class dining in the many different restaurants. There is public transportation to Yosemite as well as to AMTRACK just 35 miles either way from the heart of town.
