Situated in the back of our home property, this quiet and welcoming space is designed with your privacy in mind. It offers easy access yet is secluded and private and makes a wonderful urban getaway. The casita has a full kitchen and dining area that can double as a working space. For your entertainment, there is a sitting area with a Bluetooth speaker, streaming channels (Netflix and Amazon Prime included for free), and a DVD player with a variety of DVDs. At the end of the day (or the beginning) enjoy a hot shower or a long luxurious soak in the steeping tub. Turn in at night in the expansive and very comfortable king-sized bed. Newer construction, systems, and appliances mean you’ll be cozy and comfy on the chilliest of nights while staying cool in the summer. As hosts, we go the extra mile to ensure a comfortable stay and that your expectations are exceeded. The convenient location offers easy access to the Albuquerque Convention Center, River Walking/Biking Trails, Central Ave (Historic Route 66), and minutes from UNM, the airport, and I-25.

THE HOST Hi there! I'm a graphic designer helping small businesses throughout the United States with branding and marketing. When I'm not in the office I enjoy the culinary arts, time with friends, and hiking and exploring the surrounding mountains and desert regions. I love the southwest United States and am happy to call Albuquerque home. My husband Ed and I really enjoy hosting guests; our experiences have been delightful. We love meeting people from all over the world and sharing our hospitality.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD Walking distance to the Convention Center, Alvarado Transportation Center, downtown restaurants/nightlife, historic Route 66, the Kimo Theatre, Biopark Zoo, both the Rail Yards and Grower’s Markets, and the Rio Grande River Trail. Our neighborhood is mixed use with apartment buildings, single-family homes, and businesses. Many coffee shops, micro-breweries, cafes and restaurants, and art galleries are within a few blocks.
