The residence features a classic staircase leading to a reception foyer with herringbone parquet flooring and walnut inlays, connecting to the living and dining rooms, which share the same exquisite flooring. The chic living room, with alabaster light pendants, glass bookshelves, and crown moldings, is highlighted by a stained-glass bay window offering views of the tree-lined street, perfect for entertaining. The formal dining room also boasts herringbone parquet flooring, ideal for both casual and elegant dining. The chef’s kitchen is designed with high-end finishes, quartzite countertops, and top-tier stainless-steel appliances, including a Fisher & Paykel refrigerator and Bosch gas range. A skylight above the cooking area enhances the space with natural light, while abundant cabinetry ensures plenty of storage. The stunning staircase with a classic balustrade leads to the second level, where the primary suite offers romantic views, an en-suite tiled bath, coffered ceilings, crown moldings, and a stained-glass feature above the bay window. The second bedroom suite is equally serene, with a tiled en-suite bath and cedar-lined closet. A stained-glass motif display ledge at the top of the staircase provides space for art. On the top level, the third bedroom opens to a West-facing limestone terrace with views of Powell Street’s cable cars and nearby landmarks like the Fairmont and Stanford Court Hotels. The fourth bedroom, filled with light from two South-facing windows, features two cedar-lined closets. Hardwood parquet flooring with walnut inlay runs throughout these rooms and the top-floor landing. A classic tiled bath with a walk-in shower serves these two bedrooms.

NOB HILL Elegant and glamorous, Nob Hill is home to five legendary hotels, Huntington Park and one of San Francisco’s most iconic structures- Grace Cathedral, San Francisco’s sister version of Notre Dame de Paris. Perched on the commanding heights made accessible in the 1870s by the California Street cable car that runs through the heart of the neighborhood, Nob Hill is home to old San Francisco. The descendants of San Francisco’s founding families still frequent their private clubs here, including the University Club, and Pacific Union club, previously residence of James Flood. The neighborhood remains one of the most affluent and desirable in all of San Francisco with its historic, yet vibrant character. With its stunning Beaux Arts-style pre-war luxury buildings decorated with wedding-cake facades, the magnificent palace-like Fairmont Hotel, and emblematic Grace Cathedral, Nob Hill is truly San Francisco’s own version of Paris. It has also been the scene of many famous movie and television films over the decades from Alfred Hitchcock’s timeless Vertigo in the 1950’s to 2019’s Matrix 4 with Keanu Reeves which was recently filmed there, as well as the long-running TV series “Hotel” which was set at the Fairmont Hotel- and countless others. The heart of Nob Hill is Huntington Park and its incomparable 10-foot tall Fountain of Tortoises. Shady benches around the classic urban square provide a welcome rest for those who hike up the hill- and a children’s playground is a hidden gem. In addition to its acclaimed world-class restaurants, charming neighborhood eateries dot the neighborhood. The Masonic Auditorium, a classic example of Mid-Century architecture, is also used as a venue for concerts and events. During the Holiday Season the Laurel Court Restaurant at the Fairmont Hotel features the largest gingerbread house in the world and is a huge attraction for locals and visitors alike- both children and adults!.
