Company info

The idea of Panther Creek Cabins was born when the owner returned home to Cherokee. After having many years away as an antique dealer who did shows with the International Antique Road Show, while his wife has always been with Hospitality & Tourism; she is fluent in Spanish which will bring more guests to the Cherokee area. The owners loved to build, so in 1998 he built the Panther Creek Lodge. . Then in 1999, with the help from Moses Walkingstick, they built two more cabins. In 2001, they built three more. Miriam takes care of the International guests and together they work the business side by side. They now have a Wedding Chapel and have added more cabins to the area and have stopped at 12 cabins and are working on a tent and RV site coming hopefully in the near future. It's a lot of work but they are happy to make a more peaceful stay for guests to enjoy.

Property info

Panther Creek Cabins are privately owned and operated. These 12 cabins which are tucked among the trees of a 47-acre tract. The creek side cabins are built with mountain views all around, all decorated with antiques and Native American décor. Some with wood burning fireplaces, Jacuzzi's in most of them, full to mini kitchens, bedrooms and baths (with all sheets and toweling furnished), and rocking chairs on the decks, the cabins provide the most comfortable feel of a home away from home. Little amenities of hummingbird feeders, fire pits, charcoal grills and picnic tables, cable TV in most, air conditioning in the summer (hardly ever needed, for the 3200 feet elevation is at least 10 degrees cooler than downtown Cherokee), gas or electric heat in the winter, hiking trails through the forests –with even walking sticks provided. The surrounding mountains are adjacent to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, and the Blue Ridge Parkway…and it’s quiet…except for the music of the creek. only 4 miles to Casino and 6 to downtown Cherokee.

We have the majestic mountains, Casino, water tubing, snow tubing, sking, hiking, horseback riding, museum, indian village, fair grounds that hold many events throughout the year, rodeos, Native American Pow Wows, Cherokee weddings, nature and so much to enjoy. Fishing, golfing, Eating, relaxing. Come and enjoy.
