As interesting careers came to a conclusion, we designed and built this home we call Posada Mariana. Life in the California foothills includes gardening, cooking, bird-watching and meeting new friends. As a guest at Posada Mariana, you will enjoy your own private space and also be welcomed into the common areas in the large main house and the pool deck and garden areas. We are fluent in Spanish and look forward to hosting visitors from around the world.

Posada Mariana is a destination unto itself. Its rural setting offers quiet tranquility, soothing the soul and offering an environment conducive to rest and relaxation. The Posada’s architecture echoes that of an old Spanish Hacienda where each guest room has a private entrance from a central courtyard. Each of the four guest rooms are named after Mexican towns: Vallarta, Oaxaca, Tulum and Cuetzalan. The home is set on 25 acres in the Sierra Nevada foothills, surrounded by blue oaks and granite outcroppings, offering scenic views including some breathtaking sunsets. Whether you enjoy bird-watching, star-gazing or simply soaking in an unspoiled natural setting, this is the place. The historic, gold rush era town of Mariposa is 20 minutes away, offering museums, shops, pubs and several good eateries. Yosemite National Park lies 35 miles beyond Mariposa on Highway 140 as it follows the Merced River on a beautiful drive into Yosemite Valley.

Although natural beauty abounds in California, this particular part of the state includes Yosemite National Park - a world class destination for ecotourism. Photos do not do it justice; it must been seen and experienced to be appreciated.
