Located on historic Prytania Street in Uptown, this is one of our favorite parts of New Orleans—often called the Touro/Bouligny neighborhood. It’s full of classic Victorian homes, big oak trees, and a relaxed, walkable feel that makes it easy to settle in and explore. We’re just a couple blocks from Magazine Street, where we usually end up for coffee, food, or wandering through local shops. It stretches for miles, so there’s always something new to discover. The St. Charles Avenue Streetcar is also nearby, making it an easy (and scenic) ride to the Garden District or the French Quarter—no need to worry about parking. If you want some green space, Audubon Park and the Audubon Zoo are just a short walk away and perfect for a relaxed afternoon. During Mardi Gras, the location really shines—parades roll right through the area, so you can step outside and enjoy the festivities without the stress of crowds or traffic.
