Scott Creek Farm is a 2 acre organic hobby farm with chickens, and nearly 1000 different trees, plants and flowers only 20 minutes from downtown Portland. Surrounded by an 11 acre nature park, the property is quiet and all rooms have a view and quick access to the forest and creek. Our larger apartment can accommodate 5, and the smaller room is a lovely space for 2. Only 1/2 mile to most shopping, and 2 miles to a mall, a 20 screen theater, 3 nature parks of over 200 acres each, and hundreds of stores and restaurants. Most city amenities in metro Portland are within 45 minutes, as is the Columbia River Gorge National recreation area, and Mt Hood, where all year skiing and several rivers, creeks, and lakes can be found. Several state parks, from spectacular Silver Falls state park to Milo McIver state park on the white water Clackamas river await your exploration. The city of Portland is regarded as among the countries best food destinations, has nationally renowned medical care, and over 100 live and film theaters. Sit by our babbling creek with trout, salmon, salamanders and crawdads, be lulled to sleep by the nights hooting owls, then awaken to explore our beautiful city.

Mary and Don truly enjoy assisting guests in discovering the many treats to be found around or nearby Portland and will gladly provide information on these various adventures available to our guests. Mary is fluent in Russian and Armenian, and Don has a history in the performing arts, medical care and several areas of real estate. Unlike most guest hotels, or casual stay locations, we offer cold breakfasts & hot coffee/tea to our guests in their rooms, as well as daily room cleaning as desired.

Located in upscale Happy Valley, at the southeast corner of Portland, OR, this bedroom community, once a rural farm area, has many of it's own parks, including 3 nature parks over 200 acres in size. We are surrounded on 3 sides by lovely 11 acre Scott Creek nature park. Only 20 minutes from downtown Portland, and 45 minutes to most destinations of greatest interest, we are close to all of metro Portland, but feel as if we are in the forest, which in fact, we are.
