Harrison is known for "20 lakes in 20 minutes". It is a great place to go fishing, hunting, hiking , skiing, canoeing, tubing, golfing, boating, ORV trail riding, and exploring. There are 3 golf courses; The Tamaracks, Snow Snake Ski and Golf, and Devil's Knob Golf Course. Harrison is home to Rocks and Valley Off-Road Park, Duggan's Canoe Livery, Snow Snake Ski and Golf, Wilson State Park, Clare County Fairgrounds, and Leota ORV Trailhead. Visitors can enjoy bowling at Snowbird Lanes, riding go-carts, mini golf, and an escape room at 4X Adventureland or practicing their swing at The Lynx Indoor Golf similator in town. Guests can also go to a concert or gambling at Soaring Eagle Casino which is only 30 minutes away or take in some spirits at The Merry-Hearted Cidery in Gladwin about 15 minutes from the chalet. Harrison is centrally located to major Michigan destinations like Mackinac Island, Traverse City, Cadillac, Houghton Lake, and Mt Pleasant making it an excellent base-camp for day trips.
