Only four miles from the Historic District, the Cottage is close to Middleton and Magnolia Gardens, Drayton Hall, Charles Towne Landing, McLeod Plantation, the Intracoastal Waterway and just 20 minutes from Folly Beach. The ten mile long West Ashley Greenway, great for walking and biking is two blocks away. Our own private garden with koi pond and waterfall is a nice place to unwind. Relax and enjoy a 1064 square foot cottage that sleeps four (TWO Queen size beds in ONE 25' X 12' bedroom) with plenty of living area or remote work space. The property has an awesome kitchen with marble countertops and a large living area where guests can share a meal and some quality time together.

My partner Rob and I enjoy renovating what most would call "lost cause" buildings that are important to our neighborhoods, but which most folks consider "too far gone". Our home and the cottage on our property were among these in 2016. We enjoy working in our community and helping to plan for its future. Rob is a retired VA Benefits specialist and I am a former city planner. We own an independent real estate company based in our own DuPont neighborhood. We enjoy interacting with guests, but we also believe in giving people their space...especially in these days of social distancing. We are generally available during the day between 8AM and 7PM and we are happy to assist you with local information or any special needs. The Cottage at DuPont is fully licensed in the City of Charleston.

The area we call West Ashley was the birthplace of the City of Charleston and the State of South Carolina. Our DuPont neighborhood, within West Ashley, is convenient to everything in the city without the downtown cost. If you want to meander through Middleton and Magnolia Gardens, visit the site of the founding of the city, ride a bike or walk the Greenway or just stare out across a gorgeous Intracoastal waterway view, you can do that all right here in West Ashley. All of these options are between 2 and 15 minutes away. Folly Beach, Beachwalker County Park at Kiawah, Sullivan's Island and the Isle of Palms beaches are all reachable in 20 to 30 minutes.
