The Homestead house has been in the Kuhry/Aaberg family since 1918. It is located on Main Street in Chester, next door to The Great Northern B&B. Friends and family can take both locations and share a bbq on the patio under the horse chestnut tree. Whether you stay one night or a month, the fully equipped kitchen makes meals easy. Books, board games, Dish Network and wifi are all provided for your enjoyment. We do allow pets for an additional charge, and a fully fenced yard is available. We do require that pets not get on the furniture! We look forward to welcoming you at The Homestead. Please let us know what we can do to make your stay delightful!

Patty and Phil Aaberg own and operate The Great Northern B&B, The Westland Suite and The Homestead in Chester. Our goal is to make you welcome and your stay comfortable. We have met so very many wonderful people over the years.

The Homestead house is directly across from CJI School and The Liberty Village Arts Center and Gallery. Two blocks from the city pool, three blocks from the Liberty County Museum and a four block walk to downtown shops and restaurants, we are located within easy distance of everything you might need during your stay. Awesome Autos car museum is out on Hwy 2. Liberty Medical Center is just down the street, and the Sweetgrass Lodge is a few easy blocks away. You can fish and float the nearby Marias River. There is camping on the river and near Tiber Dam/Lake Elwell, which is a renowned walleye fishery. Upland bird and big game hunting abound, and a hike in the Sweetgrass Hills makes for a wonderful day. For those traveling to Glacier National Park, you can spend a restful night in Chester and be in the park by noon!
