I'm the owner of Blue Horizon Vacation Rentals, a short term rental owner and travel enthusiast. I treat other's property the way I would hope guests treat mine! Check out our curated properties online by searching for Blue Horizon Vacation Rentals! A drummer, realtor, and consultant, Todd is a huge fan of Southern Rock and Skynyrd music. Some of his favorite Skynyrd tunes include "Call Me The Breeze" and "I Know a Little". When he found the property, it was vacant, rundown, and in need of a lot of work. Little by little, he restored it, rehabbing the Main House to look much as it did in the 1960s and 1970s. He wanted to honor the contributions the Van Zants have make to Rock Music and the City of Jacksonville and succeeded in getting a historical marker approved by the state of Florida.

Property info

The Birthplace of Southern Rock is the childhood home of Ronnie, Donnie, and Johnny Van Zant of Lynyrd Skynyrd and .38 Special fame. Come enjoy out Southern Hospitality in this historic property. Shoot a game of pool on our 1930's Brunswick pool table, plug in one of our guitars for a jam session, and check out the memorabilia throughout that house!
