The home is newly owned by Katie & Shonn Monday. They are a young couple from Nevada and have a one-year-old baby boy. Katie has been a nurse for 9 years, and Shonn works in engineering design in addition to his service in the Army National Guard. They are excited to restore the mansion, fill it with love, and share its beauty with guests. Shonn & Katie are assisted by an innkeeper. Patrick has been serving as innkeeper and caretake of the mansion for 7 years and has stayed on to help the new owners grow the business. Patrick is full of knowledge about the history of the home and the neighborhood. He is an entrepreneur with many interests besides innkeeping including managing his own business, several online shops, graphic design, raising homing pigeons for release at special events, teaching an internship for the college, and more.

A stay at The Vistula Rose is a one-of-a-kind experience for many. Stepping through the doors is like stepping back in time to a period when life moved slower, homes were works of art, and life was full of little luxuries. We want our guests to leave feeling refreshed and pampered. The home is an enormous, beautiful historic home in Toledo's Historic Vistula District. The 153-year-old Italian Villa style Victorian mansion is over 10,500 sq. ft. and features 12 ft ceilings, 10 ft doors, a Library, 2 Parlors, large modern kitchen, a chapel, and expansive halls. There are 2 half-baths on the first floor. The home is furnished in beautiful period furniture but features the modern updates we all love such as updated bathrooms, TV with Roku, a Keurig coffee bar, and free WiFi. There is a private, well-lit parking lot. The yard is semi-enclosed with an iron gated fence. Take a stroll through the gardens or lounge on the porch swing with a cup of tea. The home feels secluded, yet it is within minutes of downtown Toledo. The home features four suites, each named after an early owner of the home, and is outfitted with hand carved wood beds, luxury linens, cozy white robes, and plush Turkish cotton towels.

The mansion is located in Toledo's Historic Vistula District. It is near the Maumee River and a short drive to downtown.
